What people don’t realize is that some people are single in this generation because they are healed, whole, and happy. Hi there, it’s Eric Edge. Welcome!
They are people who trust in Jesus and all He has done for them, and that makes them incompatible with trauma-based relationships.
Unfortunately, trauma-based relationships are the acceptable template and norm of our culture at this time.
Those who choose peace over trauma, health over brokenness, faith over fear, joy over negativity, compassion over bitterness, forgiveness over resentment, will have difficulty in relationships because most people that they meet are emotionally damaged in some way and or spiritually dead. So sad.
Healed people in Christ seek healthy spiritual bonds. These bonds hold space for authenticity, growth, cooperation, understanding, humility, trust, strength, safety, and correction. It’s kind of like an oxymoron.
About 90% of the relationships/marriages that I see are actually trauma bonds. Those involved “need” the other person to make them feel whole because they’re both broken vessels — mentally, emotionally, physically, and/or spiritually.
Let that sink in for a moment…
Are you reliant on “Trauma Bonds”?
